Bethesda Country Club is hiring a Culinary Administrative Assistant. This position will be responsible for coordinating and performing administrative duties including answering phones, composing correspondence, distributing mail, photocopying, faxing, scanning and emailing various documents as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees assignments and assists Executive Chef in establishing and implementing departmental policies and procedures with regards to supervision of cooks.
  • Performs other office related tasks to include, scheduling (writing, filling and posting, implementing & tracking labor, culinary cost controls and ordering of kitchen supplies/food supplies.
  • Monitors P&L budget, expense lines & processing expense reimbursements.
  • Conducts daily briefings with staff and maintain BOH information/BEO board.
  • Monitors, organizes and files all paperwork in regards to cooks and chefs. Organizes and plans department meetings.
  • Assists in inputting monthly actual forecast reports, staff schedules, daily & weekly payroll reports for culinary & maintain office requisitions/needs.
  • Tracks expenses, code invoices, report status of usage and alerts others as needed.
  • Checks & maintains correct payroll numbers using schedules & payroll system. Sets the closing payroll report for review weekly.
  • Updates & maintains 3 month forecast of Catering/Banquet business for future hiring/scheduling needs.
  • Tracks Vacation/Sick/Personal days and updates based on employee usage and anniversary dates.
  •  Act as liaison between Chef/Kitchen and other departments to ensure proper flow of information.


  • 1 year minimum administrative or management experience in restaurants, clubs, hotels and/or banquet operations
  • Demonstrate ability to comprehend a BEO
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Communicate with tact, professionalism and clarity
  • Demonstrate high level of focus and energy to accomplishing goals.
  • Detail oriented and able to see a total situation quickly and clearly.
  • Take responsibility for all challenges and encourage an environment of problem solving.
