Bethesda Country Club is hiring a Banquet Operations Manager. This position will oversee, coordinate and strive to improve the set-up, execution, and breakdown of all private parties and club functions related to the Event Department's operation. The Banquet Operations Manager will be highly visible and interact with the service team, vendors of events, and event host to exceed our members' expectations. This position will also stay current on all special event trends and techniques and implement processes for including these into best practices in the department. Essential Functions:
• Responsible for coordinating efforts with Director of F&B and/or Human Resources/Administration in the following: scheduling, payroll, hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, training, reward programming, discipline, terminations, and any other employee-related items.
• Ensures event set-up, execution and breakdown exceeds expectations for all member parties and Club functions, including timeliness, quality, sanitation, and communication through maintaining standards and goals.
• Manages and oversees the beverage ordering of all private and Club events. This includes conducting monthly inventories, accepting beverage deliveries, and assuring that all beverage storage locations are properly maintained.
• Responsible for assuring proper inventory of all banquet service supplies as well as managing the proper storage of these items. This includes preparing and planning for seasonal needs and ordering weekly linen for events.
• Assist Director of Events in scheduling, planning, and executing internal events from booking, layout, and food and beverage needs. Ability to assist in the planning and coordination of member events in the absence of the Director of Events.


Requirements:
• Five or more years of Hospitality management experience
• Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
